Performance Day
Last day of the Poor Things project - performance day at The Caves. Arrived in the afternoon to help E set up the 'creative process' exhibition in the 'Cow Room' off the bar. Then some pics of the dress rehearsal before a break for some food and then back for the show itself - 7:30pm for the more controlled version and again an hour later for the second, rather more crowded performance. And time for a couple of drinks with the costume team (who made quite an entrance when they all turned up in the bar having changed from their performance blacks into their finest party gear. I should have expected nothing less - after all, if costume designers don't wear stunning clothes to the party, who will?).
This shot is of S operating the giant Godwin puppet on stage, but there were so many possible pictures to use. Interestingly a photographer turned up from QMU to take shots and seemed to use an awful lot of flash - when you have such atmospheric lighting to work in, why kill it with flash? (Although, to be fair I didn't see his images, and they may have been a masterful balance of flash and ambient light.)
I'm a bit sad that the project is finished, having been involved with it since back in November.
Backblipped.
