Tristan's Birthday

Today is Tristan's 4th birthday. We were hoping to get some photos from his mom today, but I'm sure she's had a busy day. She works for Fedex in Oklahoma. A couple days ago she did text us that his party won't be until this coming weekend. So maybe she is waiting till then to email us some photos. He is our only great grandchild and we miss him enormously and when he is here we enjoy him so much.

Tristan's favorite character is Spiderman, but I did not see any cards with the superhero. So this card will have to do for today's photo. I found it at the grocery store late this afternoon when I stopped after being at the campus. I've had "4" on my mind all day.

I'm very sick with a fresh head cold. "Miserable" has been the definition of this day. My sinuses are swollen, and I'm certainly not thinking sharp. Tomorrow I launch two more classes at the college. I don't remember ever being sick on the first day of a semester, and I'm not at all looking forward to going to work. I've never missed the first day of the semester, so I don't think I will tomorrow, but I think the morning is going to be overwhelming.
