Death of the High Street

Took an alternative route to work in search of some inspiration, knowing full well that I wouldn't have time at lunchtime since I was off on another training run up Arthur's Seat. On the way through Stockbridge I remembered this old archway just off St Stephen's St, so a quick detour later and I have my blip.

No butchers, no bakers, no candlestick makers just some houses where a thriving and I suspect smelly market used to be.

Been listening to the ghostpoet on repeat today. Don't be put off by the radio 1 airplay and the Mike Skinner endorsements, this is a great UK MC in the same style as the legendary Roots Manuva.
