Copenhagen and Me.

All Very Danish

First of all this is not the Blip it should be, it should have been this one on my Blipfolio which is much better.

This one, however, allows me to show you a thing or two that I think show I'm not in the UK anymore. It also reminded me of a rather obscene song (Do not click if you are easily offended, don't like Australian humour or are my Mum)

Things to notice here are: The dog's owners - uncomcerned, the guy in the doorway - in a t-shirt (it's minus 2 degrees), the two prams - complete with babies, the long shadows - it's 13;00, the casually strewn bikes and then there's rubbish & graffiti.

This can be explained as follows;

-The danes casual attitude to sex does not cause embarrasment or anger.

-Many danes seem to think that because the sun is out, it must be summer.

-Danish women often leave babies outside cafes and shops, it is considered sensible as many shops and cafes are too small for prams and the cold will send the babies to sleep in fresh air. (A few years ago a Danish woman in New York got arrested for leaving her baby outside a cafe she was in and had the baby taken away for several days - even though she could see the baby the whole time.)

-The low sun always impresses me, it gives such great shadows and takes forever to go down. Sunset in the summer seems to last from 6pm till 11:30pm.

-I wouldn't put money on it but I think Copenhagen is the No.1 city in Europe for cylcling according to some surveys.

-The rubbish and graffiti I can't really explain, guinely a little supprised at the amount of stuff.

I'm going back to work tommorow, boo....hiss.
