Above and Below
Less than two days till Emma's planned c-section, and her mum has arrived here to help with looking after Oliver. Unfortunately, here mum barely had time to drink her cup of tea before she was dragged up to play. Oliver cannot get enough of this despite being tired most Saturday afternoons. He has now finally crashed and burned and is relaxing in the lounge - albeit after a few harsh words from Daddy for not doing what he was told.
Anyway, enough of that.... I needed to pop out for a secret mission (and a wee blip as well). I headed down to South Parade Pier on the seafront as the weather was clear and sunny. After all the excitement with Egyptian gizzits yesterday, I fancied a bit of sea air. I couldn't decide which photo to use, so I thought I would stick them all together in this.
South Parade Pier has had a few years of neglect lately as the previous owners claimed it was losing money. I personally think that if you stuff it full of tacky machines and one armed bandits, there isn't any real atttraction these days. Or is that just my tight fisted thrifty way of thinking. I am reliably informed that the pier has new owners who havew pledged to restore the pier to its former glory. However, this was June last year, and I'm still waiting with baited breath. Maybe in time for the summer season, perhaps.....??
