Happy Birthday Sundae Cupcakes
I've been wondering (mainly to myself) recently how to make pure white buttercream icing. When you mix the butter and the vanilla in, it always goes a weird 'off white' shade that's not very pleasant. So I started hunting around for methods to make it white. Someone suggested using some form of vegetable fat but I thought 'ugh, I'd rather they tasted nice but looked nasty than vice versa!'
Eventually came across Superwhite which is a powder you add to bring it to brilliant white and I'm pleased to say it really worked!!
I've made these for my friend who's birthday is tomorrow. Whenever I pop photos of my cupcakes up on Facebook, she always responds with 'where are my bloody cupcakes'. Well here you go. Here are your bloody cupcakes!!
