My Happy Place

When people talk about going to their happy place they are usually referring to an internal thing or maybe a drug induced stupor. My happy place is a physical location that brings me peace and allows me to glory in the splendor of all creation.

Today, when I got off work, I walked outside and the sun was shining. There was not a trace of wind in the air and although it was a bit chilly it did not feel cold. Fortunately I always have my book and camera with me so I headed straight to the top of Rocky Butte and stayed there until the sun dipped behind some trees. Suddenly there was no doubt what the temperature was and I headed home.

I saw much of the lovely sunset, but I already had my blip for today so I watched it without a viewfinder.
