Whisky

A very eventful day that left me stuck for something to blip at the last minute so the hip flask came out of my pocket and that was that. It's got Ardbeg in it rather than JD so I'm spelling the title like the contents rather than the label.

This morning I did a presentation of one the applications I am working on to a visitor from the Dasman institute in Kuwait with whom we have an ongoing partnership and despite not having much chance to prepare and not knowing too much of the medical background I managed well I felt. I had feedback afterwards that I should maybe have concentrated on the main point of the application, but I don't really know what that is so i didn't take the criticism too badly.

All that got me a free lunch at the Scottish Malt Whisky Society, sadly sans whisky, but a very enjoyable meal of White Root Veloute with Black Truffles and some lovely Pheasant for mains (can't fully remember what it came with but I'm sure there was a variation of Dauphinoise Potatoes in there).

And to top it all I met up with some old colleagues for a rather heavy night out (which is why the hip flask was in my pocket, never go out without it nowadays)
