Spending Habits

I worked in Landon's class in the a.m. It's been several weeks due to illness, so it was nice to get back into the swing of things. Landon just returned back to school yesterday, seems to be over his walking pneumonia.

To explain today's blip photo of the day, I have to explain yesterday. I had returned one of Landon and Liam's Christmas gifts yesterday. They each had received a surf board dry erase board from us which promptly fell apart. Since they each got a small amount back for it, $12 a piece to be exact, I took them to spend their money today after school. The store (Office Max) would only issue a store credit, so they had to spend it there (not exactly a kid's dream store). Liam's money went to the items on the left. Landon's money went to the items on the right. I thought it was quite amusing that Landon spent his money on only edible items. Junk food edible items on top of it! So I had the talk that they will not all be consumed in one day. At least Liam broke his money up between smelly markers and a bit of candy! Liam is really getting involved with this whole blip hobby of mine. He quickly pulled out a spatula to separate the goodies for a photo (an interesting separator, but whatever works). He's my assistant. :D

Tonight was night 2 of competitive soccer tryouts at Oak Park, so Loren put on warm close and we headed over there. I stayed a while and a friend brought Loren home for me so I could go to my small group. It had been several weeks since I've gone (again due to illness), so I was glad to catch up with my friends.
