Hey, good lookin'
15 months 17 days
We got our official invitation this morning to the Christening & 1st birthday celebration of Max, my godson. They are in Australia, but next week they return here (eurgh the idea of 24 hours on a plane with a really really energetic, walking, bouncy toddler). Katie loved seeing the picture of him, and kissed it several times.
We spent a lot of the day at home playing. She spent ages playing happily in her bedroom, building towers, trashing towers. She was playing dollies - she wraps them in blankets, stuffs them in the moses basket, suffocates them wipes their faces. We read so many books I lost count. She has today learnt to say please. Generally, its when she's waving the next selected book in my face 'ease, ease, ease'.
She had a good sleep after her lunch and got up for some more playing, although she woke determined that she would have a long mummysnuggle first. No complaints from mummy.
about 3.30 I bundled her up and asked her if she wanted to go see the Cousins. 'Cousin1-cat' she kept saying. So I wonder if she's remembering thats what she did on saturday, seems random if its not that. They dont have a cat, so this was the only time she's seen Cousin1 and a cat in connection with each other.
Anyway, we got there (she'd presented me with both her shoes after I said we were going to go, in a 'hurry up, mummy' kind of fashion), and she did her usual tour of the house to check all is where she expects it, sat Monkeys (she took both) in the rocking chair and rocked them, charged round the house some more. After an hour though, she took herself to the door, got her shoes and stood banging to go out, which seemed strange. When I got her home, she flopped completely, and went quite pale. She took herself up to bed and stood pulling at the cot bars to go in, so I wonder if she's sickening. Hopefully, she's just a tired bunny after a day of charging round the house.
