Party with Monkey

We had a pretty early start today - we were up and about by 5.30. Once the sun had risen we packed up and went out for a walk. It chucked it down whilst we were out! But Katie was in the littlelife, all wrapped up and protected. She didn't fall asleep on the way home, which surprised me a little .

We had a nice play at home for a few hours- uring which time she came out with a three word 'sentence' - "mama no not". Translation "mummy please don't put my monkey in the toy basket with the other toys'. We had some lunch and then got ready for her little friend Jack's first birthday party.

Katie fell asleep in the buggy on the way there. She slept for nearly an hour. I felt a total spare part as i hardly knew anyone. But thankfully, it was at the play cafe so the owner chatted to me. (and we worked out that we both know seeingasiam and kindahorrigans, such a small world). Katie woke up with an hour to go. She didnt' want to eat, but she had a nice play. And came up with a two word sentence this time - "hiya baby", she said to her little friend tatiana. Then after half an hour decided it was time to go home. Went and stood pulling at the gate trying to reach for her pram.

She's just eaten a really good tea, feeding herself the best part of a whole sweet potato, a veggie sausage, some yorky pud and peas, followed by a yogurt.
In other news, Jack's mum and dad have set a date for the wedding and have asked if Katie will be flower girl and if I would do the photographs. I'm not happy to do both and I think it'd be nice for Katie to do t this so she'll be a bridesmaid. She'll look so gorgeous!
