Skulking
If you want to be inconspicuous, don't have a bright red and yellow bill. This little moorhen was trying to skulk in the waterside vegetation at Kelham Island.
Well, I've made it to a quarter century in my challenge with no repeats, but it's getting tough. The birds in my garden are a fairly predictable lot, and although I've still got a few left for rainy days, I really have to try to get out somewhere different every day, and you still don't know what you'll see. Tomorrow should be an embarrassment of riches as I'm going to RSPB Old Moor so there will be plenty of waterfowl and other birds to blip. Pity I don't live closer as it's a bit far to go every day, otherwise I'd find my challenge a bit easier.
