Damp relief

Everyone was grateful our 36 + degrees happened on the weekend and not a week day.

At 10pm last night it was 27 degrees. We compared notes at work and no one seemed to sleep well (except the colleague who put her head under the cold tap before she went to bed and promptly fell asleep).

Even though it was much cooler today it still felt like the land was hanging onto residual heat from yesterday. It seemed warmer than I would have expected from a wet day.

As much as I like the heat I gratefully accepted the cool dampness of today.

Happy for the sun again tomorrow though :-)
