Annie's In Oregon

Surprise!

Tamara surprised us today with a visit! She came home to do some final packing, then it's back to her new home further south where she has successfully completed her first month of a new job and is settling in to her new world quite nicely. She walked in just as we started practice with the worship team this morning. We invited her up to play congas and it was 'old times' again!! What a fun time singing our praises and having something extra to rejoice about!! Woo Hoo!!

We said goodbye at the end of December. It was bitter sweet to see her spread her wings to fly. She came to live in my home in 2001 and stayed until 2006. We've shared so many bouts of laughter and plenty of tears as we 'grew up' together.

A highlight of her brief visit was seeing the look on her face when Paul produced a hand-me-down camera that had recently been given to him, complete with case and original everything, when she shared with us that she no longer had a working camera and it was making her bonkers (my word, not hers).

This building has been impossible for me to photograph anything in until today. I finally took some time to mess with the settings until our brown clothing actually looked brown. I got rid of the grainy look I was getting with everything I shot there. I got a little help on this one. I took several later that had great potential, but were either laughing so hard or holding our faces funny while we tried not to wiggle the camera while holding it in the air and aiming down to avoid some serious back light, so opted for this one.

I'm so proud of Tamara and wish her great success in her new life.
