The first thing a Jarvis looks for in a bar close to his hotel in a strange city is a sign saying "open", or at least staff and customers to indicate that it is so disposed. Live football on TV, good cheap food, and even cheaper beer from a tap shaped like a pig's leg (complete with trotter) are a bonus. Don Jamon in Bilbao was an ideal pit stop, and the staff knew fine and well when a proper Jarvis walked in their door - they called me "caballero".
