Zulo

The Jarvis appreciates bars that are run with a spirit of independence - a quality which runs deep in Zulo in Bilbao's Casco Viejo (Old Town). Like many of the bars in the area, it is a proudly Basque nationalist joint. While the proprietor is happy to speak (at great length, vociferously) to people in Spanish, he is quick to point out that it is not the language of his country. He also seldom drinks anything but beer while he is on duty, which earns plenty of extra Jarvis points.
