Moon River and me
Dear Heart,
Today's calorific intake includes two sausages, a McDonalds Coke, a plate of rice and half a head-full of hair. It's the windiest I've known it here, and all day people having been complaining. But secretly, I loved it.
I've been finding silly excuses to go outside: I went to both Big and Baby Tesco hunting for chopped tomatoes and battery chargers, and took an impromptu stroll along the river. Being pushed and pulled about by the wind is pure loveliness, especially when you've got Henry Mancini in your ears. I felt like I could fly. Up there is someone who could, though I worried for him up so high and it being so windy...
I'm reading Brian Friel's Translations for my course. It's terribly good in parts, but less than 50 pages in I am already far too emotionally involved with the characters, and breaking my heart over a love triangle. I promise not to skip ahead to the final page. But oh!
Love, Lydia x
