Yesterday's snow at the Fornet was amazingly localized; nothing on the Solaise side and very little below the Vallon de l'Iseran bubble. So you can imagine where all the powder hounds were today.
It didn't take long for the Pissaillas to be tracked out but we managed two great runs through the Pays Desert. The snow at the top was sublime - fluffy, light, knee deep powder. Dreamy.
So please, whoever is upstairs controlling the weather systems, don't be a Mr. Bumble. Give us some more snow.

Although the snow in this photo is not so deep it does provide a sense of how wonderfully tranquil off piste skiing can be. No crowds, no ice. Sun, blue sky, snow.
