Russian Punk
Today and tomorrow is "Eurosonic", a festival preceding "Noorderslag" which is also a festival. Hmm. That didn't come out right, but you'll have to do with sentences like that because its late. And i wanna sleep :)
There where a lot of Scandinavian bands (Swedish especially i read), but there were also these girls:
the "Ranetki Girls".
Too young, and a bit.. popular punk. It's always a bit weird seeing very young / clean looking people dressed as Sid Vicious. Maybe it's just me being old? ... naaaah..
But the upside was that they played as if they were having fun, And that's always a big, if not the biggest, part of a performance
More bands we saw:
'the Hunger' (PAIN. they were LOUD. The singer annoyed me for some reason, so its hard to be positive about the performance. He was asking people to come up to the stage to "stick it to the man", but there wasn't a lot of "the man" around..so what that was about i don't know)
'Blood Red Shoes' (Our ears were still bleeding from the above. And they were too loud (seriously, why do i keep forgetting my plugs), so we skipped out halfway to get to the next gig :) )
'the Subs' (2 many dj's followup. 3 guys mixing and synth-ing and singing and doing a great job on stage.)
and some bleep and ploink band, that i have no clue what it was called.
ah! "SLAGSMÅLSKLUBBEN" (kan any of the swedes translate that?)
nitey!
