Right....(said Fred)

No, Fred, is not my name :)
Iceskating today! Some minor ankle-trouble in the end (not me for once, that's a new one), so Ilse in on the couch with a pillow and an ankle the size of 2. The skater we helped to get an ambulance is in surgery at the moment, and the muscles/feet are a bit sore. Hmm, what was the charm again?

Anyway, does anyone else have the feeling that photography, or blipping, makes other hobbies different? I was on the ice, we didn't take the DSLR, but instead an old compact model. Lots of times you'd rather take the cam and have some more trouble in the 'first' activity (skating for instance, but it could be anything), so you have more time for your secondary (or 'meta') activity: taking shots of the things going on.

Concerts, sports, and things like that. I'm not saying its a bad thing per se, but deliberately taking photography into account when planning or participating makes you shift from hobby A (whatever that is) to hobby b (the pictures ofcourse).
