Murmuration of starlings!

We arrived at Botcherby in Carlisle this afternoon just after 4pm. We parked the car and walked around for half an hour...we could see a few starlings in the air. Then they started to group together...it was a beautiful sunset. The amazing display of thousands of starlings high in the sky then started! It was unbelievable! This one blip doesn't really do it justice! Ros, Chloe and I were totally amazed!
