First ballet shoes

I know that we had a feet shot yesterday, but there was absolutely no way that today could be anything other. Today Katie and I went to buy her ballet uniform. She starts a preschool ballet/tap class tomorrow. It's her first time there, but she begged to have pretty ballet skirt and shoes. She has done and loved dancing as part of her other classes so I was willing to go for it.

When we walked into the shop, she was excited. She tried on her leotard, then was so pleased to put on the rest of it. The smallest socks were far too big, and even the smallest tights are rather large. The smallest leotard and cardi have plenty of growing room. But she looked so gorgeous. As soon as she had it all on, she was twirling round the shop. When the lady brought the ballet bags down, she immediately ran straight to take one from her. She has not let it go since. I managed to get her tights, shoes and skirt into the bag to leave the shop, but the leotard, cardi and headband were going nowhere.

She'd come out in her purple tutu today, so ended up walking through town in ballet uniform and big tutu. So many people stopped and smiled at her - but then I was struggling not to just stand and grin at her, skipping along in her element.
