A speckled cow is about as random as my day was long.

I thought that the only thing in the world that was speckled was a hen? It's an old book so it must be right.

I noticed this well worn hardback page, about farmyard animals, on a windowsill at Granny's house today. A sign that a small person has been there recently. Probably a book that has been loved by at least two generations of the same family, maybe three.

Quite random but quite lovely too.
