In These Shoes?

Somedays I am keen to go see my parents, others perhaps not so. Today was a not so day. I was right, the mood was tense. A trip to Tesco and the surrounds wasn't going to cut it if I was to turn this mood around. Raised dad from his chair just as this song came on the radio In These Shoes?. It is such an old favourite. I do like a bit of Salsa. The idea of my dad trying to Salsa is entertaining, however we chose to do a simple 1,2,3, round the kitchen today.

I took them for lunch in Queensferry. We sat in a fabulous Bistro with full length views of the Forth and the Rail Bridge. It had the desired effect - a bit like watching fish swimming around. They both mellowed and harmony was restored. I could see this blue rope fromthe Bistro and couldn't wait to get closer. What is it about this shot that takes me straight to a sunny beach and laughter?

The mood at home is tense, although less so than last night. Prelims start tomorrow and my girl is fairly anxious. What else is a mother to do but look up said song and start the dancing round the kitchen table. My boy has amazingly flexible hips for a lad. Not many can manage the Salsa steps of moving your lower body whilst retaining a straight and upright composure in your upper torso. He does so magnificently.

Music to dance to - there is nothing finer.
