Watching the Sky
This afternoon was rapidly fading away, so I asked Mr. Fun if he'd like to walk to the park with Chloe and me. I told him it would be a "power" walk because Chloe doesn't know "slow."
The Green Bay Packers had just won their game as we started our walk. The three of us headed away from the house, got to the park, realized the sky was about to perform, so we headed for home. As we rounded the corner onto our street, the sky was filled with magenta and blue. I handed Mr. Fun the camera and said, "Could you capture this for me?" and he did!
The late afternoon walk was the third "power" walk with Chloe today. Because yesterday she surprised us with her ability to climb out of her indoor pen. So I knew her excess energy needed to be relieved. Early this morning, before getting ready for church I put on my play clothes, I tucked my hair into a ball cap, zipped-up my sweatshirt and we were off. Honestly, if I would have jogged, I still would not have been able to keep up with her. She pulled at the leash the entire way.
I was pretty sure she wouldn't get out of her pen while we were gone this morning because Mr. Fun had taken sturdy plastic construction fencing and tie wraps to make a roof on the pen so she couldn't climb up and hop over.
When we arrived back home after church, Chloe was still in her pen. Relief! Sigh! So I let her out, attached her leash and "power" walk #2 was immediately in progress.
And now the Pittsburgh Steelers have won the game against the New York Jets and two weeks from today the Super Bowl will be played in Texas.
It's been a good Sunday playday in Southern California.
