Comfort Food

This morning we woke to rain. We were hoping for that. This has been a lovely rain day. At the same time we are both very sick with head colds . . . Mr. Fun's sinus cold increased significantly today. He is not feeling well at all . . . sneezing and coughing and yucky all over.

So late this afternoon I put on my hooded heavy coat and stepped outside to walk through the sprinkling rain to my "Tuff Shed," unlocked the door, and brought the breadmaking machine into the house. I really don't have much appetite, but mostly I wanted to breathe in the aroma of bread baking. The thought of that was appealing . . . comfort food.

So mid-evening, we now have a fresh baked loaf of bread and a delicious aroma in this home and yes, we've both had a slice of warm fresh baked bread. Yum! And it required very little work from me.

Now we are watching the televised Republican Candidates Debate.
