I have tried assiduously to get a photograph every time I have a run, and have managed all but once or twice in the last six months. Mostly, one of these photos has been my blip for the day. A day or two ago I became aware of the Challenge, and thought that I need to break my pattern.

So this is the week for macro studies. In the process of packing loose things away so that the builders can do their stuff beginning in two weeks, I found these cicada cases which the eldest grandson had collected. I set them into this pattern, put them on a piece of white paper, attached the trusty Pentax to the tripod, and this is the result. i am reasonably pleased with it.
