The morning after the night before
Speedbun and I went to Gordon Ramsey's Dubai restaurant, Verre, last night. As we are leaving Dubai soon we thought we would push the boat out. We certainly did that! We had the six course dinner with the sommelier's selection of wines (champagne with canapes, a New Zealand rose with the consomme, Sauternes with the fois gras, sancerre and Sauvignon blanc with the lobster, a Rioja with the pork belly, ten year old port with the cheese, and constantia with chocolate fondant. I didn't feel like cognac after that!). An excellent evening, but this morning I am mostly drinking coffee.
