Jumpy!
It was about 7 this morning when I found myself standing in the middle of my room wondering if that shaking I had felt was just my dream. Looking around I saw that the lamps in the bedroom ceiling and in the living room where still faintly moving. So it was not, indeed it was an earthquake!
A strong one, 6.5 on the Richter scale. The fact that it started about 150km away from Athens and it was really deep below the surface saved us and most of the people from damage to the buildings or the contents. Also there were no major aftershocks either.
Still it brought back childhood memories (I was away at the last major earthquake in 1999) when after a particularly strong one my parents, me and my brother spent the night away from the house in the car afraid that another strong one might be coming.
