Fireworks in Copenhagen

Yesterday some Blippers expressed an interest in my mother's embroidery. It was hard to choose one to blip, but here is a piece of free embroidery she did after a trip to Denmark. We went to see my uncle's grave; he was in the RAF, shot down and killed in Word War II and buried in the town cemertery in Kallunborg, where the grave is beautifully tended.

On our first evening in Copenhagen, we saw a magnificent display of Japanese fireworks. Mum designed this embroidery from one of the photos that evening. There are beads and gold work in this. It was hard to expose correctly to show how sparkling it is.
