You've met the Boss before.

This week she has been my rock, supporting me through the loss of Geoff, she's dished out coffe, cigs, sympathy and patience in equal measures. She knew Geoof socially and has added little snippets of memories about him.She made me go and complete my course when I didn't want to, she acted as chauffeur to me and some colleagues for our get together on Sunday, she told me to go for a sleep after work today, she dragged me out of bed and pushed me into going to tonight's quiz "Come on, there's a team relying on you to get back to winning ways".

Today was hard, we told the pupils about Geoff's passing. The rest of the day is a bit of a blur, teaching on automatic pilot, and a real facer when I remebered my year 10 lesson was on Populations and birth and death rates.

So back to winning ways, a semblance of normality restored, a smile on my face.

Tomorrow will be hard again, we're having a service for Geoff, and then sometime in the near future there's the funeral, but we're all starting to remeber the good times we shared with him, and the world continues to turn.
