Sweet scented Mahonia
Didn't have chance to go for a longer lunchtime walk as I had some errands to do. It was also very wet and the local lanes tend to flood easily - didn't fancy getting too soggy.
I took a shorter route and found a few possible shots but nothing very interesting. I was almost back to the office when I noticed a lovely smell and tracked it down to some pretty yellow flowers in one of the garden hedges. The flowers form long bracts and seem to drip down from the plant.
You can see that it had been raining by the drops caught up in the flowers.
