Dalkey

I grew up around Dalkey. The Exchange bookshop is the only thing bringing me back to the village now, that and the odd reunion/night out. Everything else seems 'gentrified' if that's the word, a commercial take on ye olde worlde.

The characters and people I knew seem to have disappeared; my Dad was born about 50m to the left of this shop and he still lives up the hill, but there are no 'local's' now, all seems to be tourists.

Beautiful day though, fancied a pint at the Queens, but driving ruled that out. I can recommend the Thai House restaurant if anyone is in the area.
