Greenham Common Abandoned Missile Silos

We decided to revisit the Greenham Common site this morning in search of the silo buildings (we didn't visit this part of the site last time). It was a very blowy day and the common was quiet apart from several dog walkers. We followed the silo walk across the heathland, through woodland and then around the perimeter of the huge concrete silos. There are still several layers of fencing around the silos and keep out signs. Plant life is beginning to take over the concrete roads but I'm not sure what the long term plans for the site are.
