Another Place
This morning, we went over to Crosby to see Anthony Gormley's installation on the beach, 'Another Place'. It consists of a lot (probably 100 or so) cast-iron figures looking out to sea, dotted all over the beach. Depending on where they are, they are either in the water, knee deep in sand, fully exposed etc. Apparently, they look completely different, depending on the weather, level of tide etc. People have also known to dress them. We found them completely compelling and will be back to see them under different circumstances.
Out in the evening, so that we could wind ourselves up over London vs Liverpool beer prices again (see yesterday). This time to 'Ye Cracke', and 'Peter Kavanagh's' - both excellent hostelries.
