2010 Photo Books

At the end of the year, once I knew I was going to succeed in my first 365 photo-a-day project, I decided that I wanted to print a book with all of the pics/blips of the day from 2010. I had seen some of the books printed by Apple via iPhoto, so I decided to use that service and I'm really glad I did!

It was very easy to pull the images into a project, and then I just needed to pick the size and template, and then it was just a matter of laying out the pages and adding the text. It definitely took a fair amount of time (I spent all of New Year's Day putting these together), and I had to do some re-work once I realized Apple caps their books at 100 pages. I wound up splitting the year into 2 books: January - June and July - December.

I had also created a collage of all 365 images into the number 2010 using Shape Collage, and Megan had the great suggestion to use that for both covers. I just created the collage as a PNG with a clear background and it worked perfectly!

Both books have arrived, and I could not be more pleased! The quality of the books and the printing are fantastic! We are so thrilled to have a daily photo journal of 2010, and I'll continue to order these as longs as I continue my pics of the day.
