Well, we slept in a little longer today, she woke at 2.30 and decided she was coming in with me, then slept til 6, and dozed on and off til 7. I'll settle for that over 4.50.

We got up and were pottering around, not rushing or anything until I remembered that last night, half asleep, I read a text inviting us to go play at a friends, so we suddenly had to get a shifty on! We had a really nice time, and the 5 kids behaved (reasonably) well, Katie was happy to have baby Aiden and the dog to wave at.

From there it was straight to swimming. Katie very much enjoyed her lesson today, she was loving the jumping in- both her and Ava were just hurling themselves in. The problem today was that Katie wanted to spend most of it swimming, not doing the songs, she wanted to be off and was getting quite a graceful leg action.

We had a couple of bits to do in town, had a coffee with a friend. Here, Katie proved my love for her, were it ever to be in doubt. She got a spoon and helped herself to the creamcheese topping from my carrot cake. Repeatedly. She is the only person on the planet who'd get away with that.

She was zonked after that and I had to wake her up at 4, which is way too late for her really, so she didn't end up in bed until 7.45.

This afternoon she spent ages playing with the treasure bag again, and this time decided to wear the beads and bracelets that she used to just wave, touch and explore.
