Morning Walk
2years 81days
Not quite my usual style, but I quite liked it actually. Something a little different for a change. We had a pretty good night last night, she woke at 1, then briefly at 5, but went back to sleep until nearly 730! She was in no hurry to get dressed. At 9 I was trying to get her ready to go to tea and toast but she wasnt interested. We went for a bath, which she sstayed in nearly an hour and then did get dressed.
We walked to tea and toast and she walked impressively fast. She was really pleased to arrive, and see Leah and Emma. She then kept saying "Katie want something eats". Thankfully the toast arrived not long after.
After tea and toast, we went to look at a house in the catchment area for the school I'd like her to go to. It was pretty nice, cosy but room enough for us and with a garden and shed (less of an issue losing the garage!).
We then went to the garden centre to see the fish and go on the softplay. We got there to discover it is no longer open. Thankfully, there is another one just near that we've never tried before. It turns out there is a pet shop within it, so we looked at bearded dragons, geckos, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, parakeets, lots of fish, she had a great time. Apart from the budgies. Those she was afraid of. The cafe there is a bit different with allsorts of huge chunky chairs in different styles, a hideaway table in a mini tribal den. We'll definitely go back.
She fell asleep after all that, so we came home and are having an at home end to the afternoon. She's very cuddly today and spent a long time swaddled in a blanket chewing her teether on my lap.
Her uncle came out of hospital yesterday. Mixed reports - he claims to be "tiptop lollipop, officially declaring an end to invalid status".... however his girlfriend text my dad shortly before that message saying that he's in more discomfort this morning.
