Cloister walk

Went for a walk & some lunch at Lacock village in Wiltshire & visited the abbey for a few pics.Sadly the interior rooms were shut, as the heating had packed up. The cloisters & main hall were open & well worth a visit, have to go back in the spring when it's a bit warmer

Lacock Abbey in the village of Lacock, Wiltshire, England, was founded in the early 13th century by Ela, Countess of Salisbury, as a nunnery of the Augustinian order.

Some interior sequences in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets were filmed at Lacock, including the cloister walk (my blip) where Harry freed Dobby. Lacock was also used to film some scenes for the sixth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Warner. Bros. announced that the spooky nights of Hogwarts were also filmed here with most of the main characters including Daniel Radcliffe
