Minster Lovell
Early start to get some pictures of Lovell Hall ruins in Minster Lovell near Witney. Managed to find the ruins in the dark & all set up ready for sunrise. Then failed miserably to get a decent shot of the ruins all out of focus & a bit bland. Took a few shots of the church behind before dashing of to work, missing a spectacular sunrise, which would have been right behind the ruins.
St Kenelm's church in Minster Lovell is mainly 15th century, built on the foundations of an earlier priory minster. This explains the unusual cruciform shape with a central tower. The whole church is ?almost entirely unaltered . It is situated next to the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall.
Oh well, have to go back & try again
Seem to be going through a bit of a "church faze" at the moment
