Resident robin

There were a lot of birds feeding in our garden today. I took some photos, but was largely disappointed with how they came out. Just not sharp enough - I blame the lens, a Sigma 70-300 f4-5.6. Not good when it gets near the top end. Think I need to trade up (it was very cheap!). Would welcome (reasonably priced!) suggestions - something good for wildlife and sport.

Anyway, this is our resident robin. Very confident, some may say cocky. Likes having his photo taken!
