Heron

I wish I had had my OM30 with me, or my brand new Nikon ( which I haven't bought yet! ), because we were walking along the river Caldew in Dalston this afternoon when I spotted this heron perched up looking for supper! ( I know this is a poor quality telephoto image with my compact camera, still better than nothing... )
We were on our way back from Carlisle where we had been checking out car parks close to the Register Office. Yes! Our daughter, Tamsin, is getting married in June! ( whenever she spotted a heron, she used to call it a herring! But she was only little then! )
