Coming In To Land

Here's the smallest helicopter in my fleet of 5 :-). It's a 4-channel model which means it can crash in any direction! It is however easy to fly and is perfect for indoors since it's too light to damage anything.

I wanted to use a slow shutter speed to keep the rotor blades as a blur, but that brought the problem of trying to keep the heli still enough to remain sharp. Since I wanted it to be airborne in the photo, this left a dilemma. The solution involved taking 2 photos, one with the heli stuck in place on a screwdriver (!), and the second to provide some background to merge in to hide the screwdriver and my hand. Merging was done in Paintshop and took quite a while to remove the joins!
