Not a 100% clear image, but the camera has picked up the usually hidden feather patterns in this birds black plumage. If you look closely you can see far more. And in this front view too.

Since the cold snap the garden has been littered with blackbirds & as the title suggests I have indeed counted 17 individuals the last few days & am beginning to know each one of them by sight, none are the same from each other, this one has a distinct lighter orange bill to the rest of his counterparts. Trouble is, I'm running out of names to call them! :)
