Preparations

Preparations are made to conservate the boiler of unit EC 20.
There is no demand for this unit in the near future so to prevent it from corrosion we are going to heat the boiler.
We use the hot fluegas of the gasturbine to heat the boilertubing.
All vents and drains are open to let the vapours and water come out.
Here Eric has just given a startup command to the gasturbine and it's running now at 658 revs. per minute and speeding up.
When synchronized to the grid it runs at 3000 revs. per minute which is equal to a frequency of 50Hz.
We are only going to 5 MegaWatts which is just enough for a fluegastemperature of appr. 245 deg. C.
