Twelfth night

It's the evening of 5th January - the eve of Epiphany - and the night when Christmas decorations are traditionally taken down and packed away for another year.

In some ways it's a sad occasion, the end of the festivities, but it's also a time to look forward to the coming spring, though for now it remains dark and cold.

The photo shows the last decoration on the tree, before it comes off and the tree comes down.
