Who needs a highchair!
A 6am start from Ethan today. I don't think I'll ever get used to these early starts but since he's going 10-11 hours overnight again I can't really complain! Still, I didn't get up at that time. Hubbie did his nappy and got his milk ready before he went to work and Ethan then came and snuggled up to me / played on the bed / watched Cbeebies. It's amazing how you can kill 2 hour that way (don't worry - Cbeebies not on that whole time)!
Granny & Grandpa took him for a walk to the shops this morning while I took the Christmas Tree down. I always feel sad taking it down compared to how fun it is putting it up! Oh well - another 11 months and I'll be putting it up again, no doubt with help from Ethan!
Ethan had homemade lentil soup for lunch. First time he has had soup but to be fair I guess it's just like having purees really and he seemed to enjoy it!
Despite snoozing in the pushchair during his walk, he was still clearly tired after lunch. After failing to get him to sleep in his cot, I rocked him to sleep in the rocking chair, then put him back in the cot. My heart sank when he opened his eyes and looked right at me, but he went back to sleep again and slept for over an hour and a half!
At dinner time, hubbie put him in his Totseat rather than the highchair. It's the first time he has eaten at the table with us grownups. He's still a wee bit short to reach the table properly but he gave it his best shot and seemed to like sitting there.
