And two noughts I might add.

Yes, time for a final zoo trip today before our annual membership runs out in 2 days time. Haven't been that much this year, so thought we'd best get one in the bag. Quite atmospheric around the place at the moment with bits of ice still knocking around and the whole complex being pretty gloomy and misty today. Not busy, a lot of the animals were indoors playing Monopoly or tucking into the last remnants of their selection boxes I imagine, and a lot of the viewing windows and glass walls were all full of condensation, making viewing quite tricky (but the patterns themselves on the glass were quite lovely with bits of foliage and habitat just discernible through all the semi-visibility). Blip today is actually of the window the kids can peek through to see the otters. Saw much more ie actual real live otters by simply standing up and looking over the fence it turned out.

Caught up with a DVD tonight that we've had from one of those rental places for over two months now, we obviously do not Love Film quite as much as we think we do. Movie was Departures, a recent Best Foreign Language Oscar winner. Not fantastic by any means, but good enough, very watchable. Straight down to the post box with it in the morning !

After a hard days' zoological exploration, with weary legs and a pot of tea brewing, I needed some musical stimulation - something familiar, with words, guitars, nowt fancy, none of your new-fangled dance nonsense. In situations like this one band that always does it for me, like a kind of alt-country, folk-tinged woolly blanket is this one. Bit of a favourite.
