D's new hat

I was out walking with the Haltwhistle walkers today. We had a joint walk for the long and short walkers, and went about 6 miles on a circular walk from Haltwhistle Market Place. The weather was wonderful. The sun shone and there was no rain, sleet or snow. A thaw is underway, although it was very icy underfoot in places, especially close to stiles.

I have had difficulty deciding what to blip. This B & W image is of my friend DC wearing his new hat. The competitor images were landscapes. Still now sure if I made the right decision, although I do like this portrait.
