Christmas Eve Bridge Blip
No visit to the Kingdom of Fife would be complete without a bridge blip.. Now, I know there are a lot of you back home in Gods country who visit and blip the bridge regularly. I dont get a chance that often. So, I took Emma and Oliver for a wee drive - over the hill at the back of Dunfermline, down towards Hill O Beath, Crossgates, and then down the back road to Aberdour before heading back to the ranch. I wanted to have a look at Aberdour Harbour, but the passengers (Em and Oliver) were a bit scared, so I left that one for another - slightly warmer day. I think Emma thought I was trying to incuce labour!! I've not heard of this wives tale and it is five weeks before she is due!
This shot was taken about 2pm, just as the sun was starting on its downward decent. Yes, there was snow on the road... but - as long as you are careful!!
Later on - just as Grandad was lighting the fire:
Oliver. "Daddy. How does Santa get into this house to leave presents?"
Me. "Well, I'm not sure. Go and ask Grandad. Its his house."
Oliver. "Grandad. How does Santa get down into this house?"
Grandad. "We open the fire door to let Santa out."
Oliver: "But he'll get a burnt butt."
Grandad: "The fire goes out when you open the door. There'll be no butt burning in this house."
PRICELESS! Hope there was no butt burning wherever you were, and Santa managed to get in okay!!
